Podcast Test – Hosted on Google Drive

This is a quick test to see if I can publish a podcast on WordPress and have the file hosted on Google Drive.

Be sure the file is shared publicly and use the embed code to embed the player here.

The feed for the podcasts I post here should be https://www.beens.ca/category/podcast/feed/.

Update: The widget embed code must trip up the podcast programs because the programs cannot seem to find a podcast on this page. The good news though is that the test with the file hosted on GitHib worked perfectly.

Podcast Test – Hosted on GitHub

This is a quick test to see if I can publish a podcast on WordPress and have the file hosted on GitHub.

Be sure the use the “raw” link when inserting the URL. WordPress will insert a player automatically.

The feed for the podcasts I post here should be https://www.beens.ca/category/podcast/feed/.

Henceforth I am going to spell Google “google” when using it as a verb and “Google” when using it as a proper noun.

Piazza is a lightweight Learning Management System which is available at https://piazza.com. It is much less comprehensive than D2L, more like Google Classroom but with a nicer interface for students (in my opinion). Continue reading “Piazza (LMS) Demo Session – My Comments”

Snippets #3

Welcome to the 3rd in my series of “snippets” blog posts. See here for previous ones.

Is This Ethical?

Is it ethical for a company to buy ads to deny climate change? Exxon thinks so and Google is gladly taking their money. It’s easy for me to boycott Exxon about this because I don’t buy their gas but Google is a little more difficult to boycott, as I’m totally reliant on their online ecosystem.
